Welcome to the 28 new medical residents at Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers. The resident physicians will work in the areas of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and General Surgery. In an effort to address the severe statewide shortage for doctors, the new residency program will train physicians to help fill the gap. Over the next five years, the program will expand to 124 residents and five specialties. Generous philanthropic supporters have contributed to provide each new resident with a Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) devices. This is a portable device that physicians can bring to the bedside or clinic and it allows for rapid diagnosis which leads to prompt intervention and treatment. The POCUS device is being called the stethoscope for today's practitioners and donors should be proud to equip 21st century physicians with this life-saving device.

| A Grand Slam for Children |

Thanks to the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation for selecting Dignity Health Children's Dental Clinic as a 2022 Ken Kendrick Grand Slam Grant winner. These funds expanded the Dignity Health Dental Clinic at the Heritage Center in Gilbert with a new private operatory that opened in May. This facility provides free preventative dental care to nearly 1,000 uninsured and underserved children annually. Our dental clinics will serve more children in need. #DbacksGiveBack

| Families Remembered |
|
More than 500 people gathered for the 2023 Family Remembrance Run presented by Valley Women for Women to honor and remember the babies who have been lost but are not forgotten. Proceeds from this run provide support to current and future bereaved parents. They are given comfort and resources during the most vulnerable of losses. The annual run provides an opportunity for friends, families and supporters to gather in love, hope and memory.

| Dignity Rising Campaign Celebrates Success |
Dignity Health East Valley employees were committed to supporting the expansion projects at Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers. Since 2018, over 900 generous employees have contributed nearly $2 million to support the expansion of services and outreach programs to our east valley community.

Behind the scenes tours are taking place inside of the new state of the art Women's and Children's Pavilion on the campus of Mercy Gilbert Medical Center and in a special partnership with Phoenix Children's Hospital. A first of its kind in Arizona, the Pavilion will feature two separate but connected wings, one focused on women's services and the other on pediatric care. | The Dignity Health Foundation East Valley was recently blessed with a generous gift from the Diane and Bruce Halle Foundation as part of the Dignity Rising Campaign to expand services in the east valley. In recognition of their commitment to families and quality health care, the main lobby at the new Women's and Children's Pavilion was named in their honor. The Diane and Bruce Halle Foundation board members recently visited and a blessing was held for the new lobby and soon-to-be operating new health care services. |
