Team Up for Student Athlete Health - Every Play Counts

Arizona Lottery Supports Medical Residents

The Dignity Health Sports Medicine program has been more than a helping hand; it has been a catalyst in transforming the care our student athletes receive in junior high and high school. What began as a modest initiative in 2014 with a single public school district has blossomed into a powerhouse of support, now aiding over 23,600 student athletes across 36 schools in seven districts - and growing stronger each day.

Our Athletic Trainers are the unsung heroes on the sidelines, the vigilant guardians of our athletes' physical and mental well-being. They are the first responders when adversity strikes, and the strategists who pave the way back to strength and confidence. Their mission - our mission, is clear: to ensure every young competitor can chase their dreams without being held back by preventable or untreated injuries.

Every donation, whether big or small, propels us closer to a future where every student athlete can access care that will not only get them back in the game but keep them safe, healthy and thriving.

Your Gift Powers Innovative Medical Training

Imagine a clinical team armed with the expertise to handle any medical emergency – a team that has practiced and mastered life-saving procedures before they're even needed. Thanks to our generous donors, such a vision is now a reality at the Learning Institute Simulation Lab at Chandler Regional.

Our six Foundation-funded manikins, including the world-renowned SimMan, are at the core of this transformative journey. These aren't just any manikins; they represent the apex of medical simulation technology, capable of teaching over 150 skills and simulating complex medical scenarios that are virtually indistinguishable from real-life emergencies.

What makes this even more extraordinary is the direct impact this training has on patient outcomes. Every heartbeat simulated, every procedure practiced, translates into lives saved – and it's all made possible by the support of our donor community.

100 percent of every gift received by the Dignity Health Foundation East Valley supports the lifesaving care provided by our medical centers and community health programs.

Every act of humankindness is worthy of celebration and every expression of gratitude deserves recognition.
Thanks to a generous grant from Mercy C.A.R.E.S. community reinvestment program, Dignity Health East Valley is helping to advance health equity by responding to the needs of the community through a program called Pathways to Wellness.

Through the care of professionally licensed and culturally-diverse Community Health Workers and utilizing a participant-led, Whole Person Care approach, the program addresses health, economic stability, access to quality care, education, social, cultural and community barriers. The program offers access to support and resources to community members who are experiencing congestive heart failure, chronic disease, and/or other comorbidities. Together, a plan is created specific to the participants’ needs that helps build connections to care and a healthier future.

Leaving a gift for future generations is one of the most significant acts of gratitude you can perform. Individuals have the opportunity to leave a legacy for their family and their community by participating in the Dignity Health Foundation - East Valley Marian Joseph Legacy Giving Society.

There are several ways to become part of our legacy society, including making a charitable gift with your IRA.

If you are 70 1/2 years or older, did you know that you can make a charitable gift directly from your traditional IRA account without incurring federal income tax on the withdrawal? The "IRA Charitable Rollover" provides you with an excellent opportunity to make a gift during your lifetime from an asset that would be subject to multiple levels of taxation if it remained in your taxable estate.
