Oral care is sometimes overlooked as an important area of overall health care in both children and adults. In fact, tooth decay is one of the most prevalent chronic diseases among children, which if left untreated, can lead to increased risk for pain and infections that ultimately affect a child’s nutrition, speech and success in school. 

As part of its mission outreach, Dignity Health is committed to providing oral health care to low income children in our community who would otherwise be denied due to lack of finances or dental insurance. Currently, two Dental Clinics operate in Chandler and Gilbert.

Cardinal Charities, who has been a strong and consistent Foundation supporter, has provided a donation to our Gilbert facility.

The 7th annual Family Remembrance Run raised $33,000, through sponsorships, registrations and donations, towards the Bowen’s Buddies Infant Bereavement Endowment. This fund was established to provide empathy and resources to grieving families in the East Valley who have experienced the unthinkable loss of a baby.

More than 300 people gathered in their neighborhoods, with their loved ones to honor the little lives gone, but not forgotten.

Thanks to the generosity of event sponsors, Dignity Health Medical Group and Valley Women for Women and individual donors, the Heaven’s Hummingbirds support group will continue to provide much needed comfort and resources to families while honoring heaven’s tiniest angels for many years to come.
