Continued Medical Education

At Dignity Health, we see health care differently and with that, we hope you enjoy our free three-part series to improve your overall health and education.

As a clinician, you are expected to stay up-to-date with the latest education to help you redesign your practice. Sometimes these competing pressures can lead to increased amounts of stress and eventually burnout. Burnout can have a significant impact on organizational productivity, morale, costs, and the quality of care you deliver to your patients. By having CME and educational activities available virtually, this breaks the usual rigid schedule of learning. By providing free, high-quality virtual education for practitioners, our hope is we will help reduce stress, promote well-being and allow for the flexibility every clinician deserves.

Innovative, evidence-based approaches to address clinician burnout should more aggressively be targeted to certain groups at greatest risk. We know there remains a shortage of health professionals in rural areas; with this, as well as long distances and lack of transportation, it is difficult for patients to access emergency, specialty and preventive care. This contributes to inadequate health care services that are essential to improve health care quality and outcomes in more rural parts of Arizona.

Our hope at Dignity Health is through this virtual CME, those clinicians practicing in rural areas will not only have access to education, but also to destination medicine by having the ability to collaborate with specialists at our institutions via telehealth and/or digitally enabled health care platforms like our virtual CME.
