Laurel Vetsch Bio

Philanthropy Director, Grants & Communication

Laurel is a seasoned grant professional with more than 25 years of grant writing and other professional experience.  As a part of the foundation team for over 10 years, her fundraising efforts have supported Dignity Health’s community outreach programs, hospital expansion projects, equipment purchases and social care initiatives. 

In the past, Laurel was a grant coordinator for Food for the Hungry and Valleywise Health. For many years, she maintained her own grant writing business and offered grant leadership to many social service, healthcare, and educational organizations throughout the Phoenix area.  

Laurel earned a Masters of Business Administration degree at Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology at Northern Arizona University. She lives in the East Valley and has two sons, Kaden, who currently attends Northern Arizona University, and August, a high school-aged elite swimmer.  Laurel supports the sport of swimming by volunteering at youth swimming competitions and travels with her son to competitions in Arizona and around the country.
