Mission
Our mission is to train emergency medicine physicians with a focus on clinical excellence, compassion, and community to provide quality care and social justice for all. We strive to develop clinical and academic leaders through innovative education. Our vision is to become the premier emergency medicine training program in the Southwest through the "3 C's"
Your support can do so much for this new program. Your donations will be used specifically to train faculty and to obtain the latest technologies for education, such as specialized emergency medicine simulation equipment. Philanthropic dollars will also be used to send residents to specialized training or to present their research at prestigious conferences. Most importantly, the team will use donations to ensure physician wellness, and to purchase the very latest and best equipment and patient care tools.
Clinical Excellence
Our academic hub, Chandler Regional Medical Center, is a high acuity, Level I Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with more than 70,000 ED visits annually and has won the community choice best Emergency Department in the East Valley. Our sister community hospital, Mercy Gilbert Medical Center includes a brand new, on-site Pediatric ED in collaboration with Phoenix Children’s. Our emphasis is to provide safe, efficient, and evidence-based care to the community.
Innovative Curriculum
We balance high-yield emergency medicine rotations with an innovative didactic curriculum, which emphasizes not only a structured core content review using the most effective tools available, but allows for active learning: short lectures, simulation, oral boards, small groups, escape rooms and games.
Diverse & inclusive Community
Knowing that diverse teams promote excellence, we value building an inclusive community of individuals who feel supported by their peers, colleagues, and faculty. We uplift the Common Spirit mission of improving the health of those we serve, especially those who are vulnerable, while advancing social justice for all.
