Sports Medicine Program
Dignity Health provides a comprehensive, community-based sports medicine program for secondary school athletes in the East Valley. The program was first implemented in 2014 and has now grown to provide services to more than 23,000 student athletes across 39 schools and 7 school districts. The program provides employment and oversight to Athletic Trainers, who serve as high-level healthcare providers within the schools' athletics programs.
Our commitment to the community is evident through our mission to elevate the quality and access to athletic healthcare at the secondary school setting. Key components of the program include community goodwill, advanced Athletic Training services, engaged clinical providers, a network of healthcare access points and philanthropic support.
The Sports Medicine program could not be possible without generous support from the community we serve. Opportunities to support this impactful program financially can be found below, and we also encourage you to email EastValleyFoundation@DignityHealth.org to explore other opportunities to get involved.
Please note: if you would like your gift to specifically go to the Richards Family endowment in honor of Dr. Terry Happel, please note your designation in the comments section below.
