Get to know: Christine Warren

Christine Warren is a Trauma Injury Prevention and Outreach Registered Nurse at Chandler Regional Medical Center. She has worked at Chandler for over 8 years and has been a member of the Foundation’s Healing Hour Club since 2018.

Christine WarrenHow do you see your work at Dignity Health helping to fulfill the organization’s mission and vision?

As an American College of Surgeons verified Level I adult trauma center, we have a responsibility to the community to treat the injured and educate them about trauma injury prevention. In the spirit of Dignity Health's mission and vision, I go out into the community and provide education and information to people from all backgrounds and socioeconomic levels.

Why do you give to the Dignity Health Foundation East Valley?

As a previous bedside trauma nurse, I know life can change in an instant. Traumatic injury has a ripple effect that extends beyond the patient and their families, reaching into our community. I give to the Dignity Health Foundation East Valley to help support the programs funded by the Foundation that enhance the safety of the place where my family and I live.

What role does gratitude play in your decision to give?

I am originally a Tucsonan and upon moving to Chandler after completing nursing school, Chandler Regional Medical Center was the first hospital I interviewed at. The med/surg service line management team that interviewed me, had a real impact on my initial thoughts about the hospital. I immediately felt as if I found a hospital I would belong in. I give to the Dignity Health Foundation East Valley as a THANK YOU to Chandler Regional and its staff for making me feel at home.

Do you have a specific program, service, or fund that you prefer to support?

I am a Healing Hour Club donor and I donate my bi-weekly gift to the Trauma Services fund. The funds help to support community programs, outreach and continuing education for the trauma department.

What’s your fondest memory of working at Chandler Regional Medical Center?

Not so much a memory, but someday, I will always remember the life-long friendships I have built with fellow co-workers. I have always felt like a member of a large family working at Chandler Regional.

What’s one fun fact that others might not know about you?

The most recent concert I went to (and loved) was SLIPKNOT.
